They review these prescriptions to validate their accuracy and then prepare the medication. This can involve weighing, measuring, and mixing drugs. Once the compounds are prepared, pharmacists then dispense them to customers and patients.

Perfusionist

Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical perfusionists operate circulation equipment during medical situations when it is necessary to temporarily and artificially replace the patients circulatory or respiratory functions. This occurs during heart surgery and similar operations. Perfusionists also control the temperature of patients during surgery.

Education Requirements: a high school diploma with a strong background in biology and chemistry is required to be accepted in perfusionist training programs. Admissions preference is given to students with college science work or experience in respiratory therapy and medical terminology.

Osteopathic Physician, D.O

(D.O = Doctor of)

Duties and Responsibilities: They use methods of diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases. In both medicine and surgery. They are importance in the musculoskeletal system, holistic medicine, and proper nutrition and environmental factors in maintaining good health osteopath’s uses hand on approach to medicine and frequently manipulate as part of the diagnoses the majority of osteopaths are general practitioners, family practitioners, or emergency medicine specialists.

Salary: $110,000

Educational Requirements:  Needs a 3 or 4 year college, prospective physicians must attend medical school. Undergraduates require for admission to all medical schools one year of basic chemistry, organ chemistry, biology, and physicians. Some medical schools require calculus English or social science Medical school usually includes two years of additional study in both basic and clinical sciences and is followed by a year-long hospital internship.  Physicians who want to specialize must then undertake a three-year residency in their specialty

Duties and Responsibilities:  Optometrists treat vision problems. They treat vision problems by diagnosing the problem and then prescribing corrective eyeglasses, contact lenses, or vision therapy. Some optometrists specialize in industrial vision safety, treatment of vision related learning disabilities and environmental vision care

Educational Requirements: Students interested in becoming an optometrist take the most challenging high school courses available in math, science, English. Before entering an optometry school at least two years of college in pre-professional program is required. Optometry school is four years in length.

Optical Laboratory Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:  They grind and fit eyeglass lenses into the frames according to prescriptions written by the ophthalmologists. Tec some ophthalmic technicians work in optical laboratories or for optometrists or ophthalmologists.  Many work in retail stores that have optical departments. Nicias set lens grinding machine so that lens blank are ground and polish  

Average Salary:  $15,000 - $20,000

Educational Requirements:  A high school diploma is need or GED certificate is needed to begin optical laboratory training.  The training is about 6 months to bout a year and is provided in vocational school and community college. Some retail stores optical departments provide on the job training.

Operating Room Technicians

Duties and Responsibilities:  These technicians are also called surgical technicians. They are responsible for having everything ready for the sugarcanes in the operating room. They also help the surgeons during surgery. They usually do the go the extra mile for their patients.

Average Salary:  $16,000 - $22,000

Educational Requirements: A high school diploma is required. Many colleges often operate programs where they offer you training and take a big part in the hospitals. They usually do this program for between 1 to 2 years. Student s must pass an examination by the Association of Surgical Technologists to become certified.

Occupational Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: Occupational Therapy Assistants help patients who are mentally, emotionally, or physically disabled adjust to handicaps and regain abilities to perform skills so they can take care themselves. They are being supervised by professional therapist and they are working as a team. Most therapists make a mark in their patient’s rehabilitation and noted it.

Average Salary: $12,000 - $15,000 (Occupational Therapy Aides) 
$17,000 - $26,000 (Occupational Therapy Assistants)

Education Requirements: Must have a high school diploma. Also pass a nationwide test.

Nursing Home Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities: Nursing homes administrators plan and direct operations of the nursing homes and long term care facilities. They supervise personnel, financial, medical, and nursing administration. Most work in nursing homes but some work for large corporations that control many facilities. Some are also involved in teaching and research.

Average Salary: $40,000 - $55,000

Educational Requirements: Students should take challenging high school courses in business, science, math and English. Different states require different requirements.  But you must have a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
