Duties and Responsibilities: This industrial hygienist
evaluate health hazards, conduct health risk assessments, mange industrial or business
health programs, and provide consultation. They may be considering as
administrators, researchers, consultants or teachers. Many work as a part of a
government team although they have private practices
Average Salary: $40,000 - $60,000
Educational Requirements: students should take challenging college
preparatory course, especially in mathematics and in science during high school.
This career requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in occupational health
engineering or in physical science. Most of these careers require a master’s
degree in occupational health. They must pass an American Board of Industrial
Hygiene exam.
